This week on YouTube, we brought you along as we crashed Alan Perry's game room to check out his amazing garage set up. But we also had the chance to sit down and talk to Alan and Michael for a wide-ranging chat. Parts of that interview appear in this week's YouTube video, but we wanted to upload a great bonus segment here on the 'Free Stuff' page. This segment is all about campaigns--how to run them, how the Perry's play them, and tips for improving your tabletop campaigns at home. And if you're wondering what these guys are playing on that lovely, 28mm Napoleonic table in Alan's game room....it's "Valour & Fortitude," of course! It's a free Napoleonic game we've been talking about on our channel and you can check it out for free right here.

If you just can't get enough of the 2021 Caesar Awards, Little Wars TV is bringing you some exclusive red carpet action leading up the show from the historic Carlisle Theater near the US Army War College. Congratulations to all the nominees and we hope you enjoy the show! That's right Little Warriors--you heard it here first. We're coming back to a YouTube screen near you. Very near you! Probably right on your desk, actually.
Little Wars TV has been "off air" since April, when we wrapped our our Season 2 slate with a World War I episode. Since then, it's been radio silence on the YouTube channel, and plenty of you have left comments or sent emails asking when we're coming back. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the photo below speaks to what's happening this summer around the world. But just because we're hunkered down wearing masks doesn't mean we haven't been hard at work in the trenches. In fact, our club is laying the groundwork for our biggest operation yet....
With our second season officially in the history books, Little Wars TV will be going "off air" for a much-needed break. Due to the Wuhan coronavirus and the quarantines currently in force here in the USA, our planned break will almost certainly be longer than expected. We hope to use that time away to figure out what the channel should look like moving forward and what changes may be needed to make this a more sustainable project for the club.
Until then, THANK YOU SO MUCH for watching, commenting, and subscribing. Please stay safe and follow any guidance from the CDC to ensure we can all emerge from quarantine sooner rather than later. If you want to stay up to date with the latest production and channel news, we encourage you to "Follow" us on Facebook, where we post all of our news. www.facebook.com/LittleWarsTV In our season finale episode, we put members of the club into the cockpit of a cardboard biplane to have some fun in the skies. For a bunch of video amateurs like us, this was a big step up in visual effects and a neat experiment to see what we could do! If you want to see how the biplane was made out of an old cardboard box and masking tape, check out the behind-the-scenes construction photos! We're posting these exclusively for our "Free Stuff" page members like you!
We sent a personal reply to every person who reached out to us. The channel is small enough that we only need one or two people to help with occasional video editing. This is a hobby channel, and for the time being, Little Wars TV turns no profit. In fact, it loses money each year. We do hope to find a path toward at least breaking even, and if we do so, we hope that includes paying our assistant video editor something for their time and energy! In the meantime, we're an all-volunteer staff here at LWTV HQ. THANK YOU Again to All applicants and well-wishers!Just TWO episodes remain in our second season. Yes, we know Season One was ten episodes, but it did take us two years to produce that season. We've managed to pull off our second season in half the production time, and when it's all said and done, the total video run time will be almost exactly as long as the first. Our episodes, on average, have gotten longer in the second season.
Our penultimate episode premieres in mid-February, and members of our "Free Stuff" page can get an exclusive sneak peak right here! We're using one of the most popular World War 2 rule sets on the market to play a famous 1942 engagement. Can you guess which one from looking at the tabletop? On January 14, 2020 Little Wars TV returns with a brand new wargame! We're heading back to one of our favorite periods--the American Civil War--in a different scale, with a classic set of rules. A few behind the scenes photos from filming day can be seen below. It's one of the most decisive, critical battles of the American Civil War, and to find out which one, be sure to visit us on YouTube in a couple of weeks...
We're going way, way behind the scenes on our most recent podcast appearance! Tony and Greg sat down with "The Ready Room," an eclectic podcast hosted by a former Marine Corps pilot. We talk about what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling at the club and how the growth of the channel has impacted our club (in both good and bad ways). There's even a long foray into social politics and the state of discourse in America today. Little Wars TV is not a channel about politics, so this is a pretty rare case when you'll hear anyone from our club veer away from military history and into the treacherous waters of modern politics....
