Yesterday marked the anniversary of the fall of the Alamo--a 13-day siege that, 183 years later, continues to define the story of Texas. Little Wars TV remains in its "off season" to catch up on production, but you can still join Greg for a quick walking tour of the Alamo mission complex to learn more about the siege! |

It's always surprising how a small Event can become so popular, that People are convinced to save some remembrances. With 2 battlefields of some importance to be looked at out of my window (battle of Freiburg in 1644) and recognizing that the whole battlefield is to be changed by new buildings over one decade (and no end in view) I feel somehow frustration. Maybe some historical events just have the right Support and the interest in our wars pre WW2 simply dissapear.

Utterly amazed at how little regard was given to the remains of the Alamo as late as the 1880s. Given how much land is available in Texas one feels compelled to ask why developers could not have built a little further away from it, thus preserving the entire site. At least there is something still to see.
