If you saw our fantastic Battle of Seven Pines wargame, then you heard Ranger Nathan Hall of Richmond National Battlefield Park talk about the circumstances of Joseph E Johnston's wounding on May 31st. His temporary replacement, General Gustavus W. Smith, didn't last long in the job. President Jefferson Davis knew he needed to find a different commander for the army.

A confused meeting engagement, this battle saw Hood's Texans begin their meteoric rise as one of the crack units in the Confederate army. And now you can play our scenario for free! Age of Sail, Vikings & Sharp Practice

It's just days until Christmas, making this our fourth and final scenario giveaway! This week we have three fantastic new scenarios for you and your friends to try. Miles wrote an Age of Sail scenario for the only major French naval victory of the Napoleonic Wars, the Battle of Grand Port. This is a small frigate action presented in a way for you to tailor it to your ruleset of choice (ours, for the record, is Fire as She Bears).

Tom wrote a Sharp Practice AWI scenario focusing on the intense skirmishing in New Jersey during the winter forage wars. You can download his scenario below! And finally, Keith prepared a brand new Ravenfeast scenario for a Viking raid on a monastery. "Ring the Bells" can be found on the official Ravenfeast website right here!

Merry Christmas Little Wars TV fans! It's Week #3 of our scenario giveaway and we have another great slate of free historical battles for you to play at home.

On our Age of Hannibal page you'll find a free PDF for the Battle of the Tagus River, Hannibal's first independent command in Iberia before his war with Rome. This is a very unique scenario with unusual deployment rules.

On the Live Free or Die page we have a brand new scenario for Second Saratoga, or Bemis Heights! Here, Benedict Arnold was famously wounded in action urging the American troops forward.

In both cases, the scenarios could be easily adapted to other rule systems if you prefer.

Desert Dogfight Scenario

Ed prepared a fantastic scenario, "Falco Victorious," for our Christmas giveaway, based on a real-life encounter between some RAF Hurricanes and Italian CR.42s in December 1940. This is a well-documented dogfight that lasted approximately ten minutes, where the Italians actually managed to shoot down a pair of Hurricanes! Ed even included the names of the pilots involved in this action. If you want to take to the skies above Africa, download the free scenario!
