Our group played Arracourt years ago with 36 Shermans/4Hellcats vs. 10 Panthers/10 Mk4s using Storm of Steel variable card-draw rules - 1/3 US force forward in a village where the Germans attacked them from 3 sides in the fog - 2/3 US moved forward to save them with off-table art. in the fog ! Later the fog lifted and US AIR saved the day with Germans withdrawl !

Storm of Steel rules (card-driven) - Each side had 5 cards - MOVE, FIRE, SUPPORT, CLOSE ASSAULT, RALLY . Both sides cards were shuffled together each turn (random draw) ! Move your units, Fire your units, Support off-table artillery, air strikes, (Germans no artillery or air but a 1-time "2 Tigers" on German edge ),Close assault infantry attack tanks up close & AT guns fire, Rally - 3 levels damage Dead - Hvy - Lgt - die-roll to reduce Hvy to Lgt and Lgt to not damaged ( 1 level only each turn) - fast simple play !
