What is Patreon?
Patreon is a platform where creators--podcasters, YouTubers, artists, musicians, or any creative endeavor--can receive small donations from their audience to support the growth of the work. Fans become "patrons" by pledging a few dollars on a recurring basis.
Why Did We do This?
Years ago, we planned to film ten episodes of Little Wars TV as a limited, one-time series. Ten episodes somehow turned into 150+ videos. None of us thought the channel would grow this far, this fast, but we're now wondering if we could continue Little Wars TV...indefinitely? And if we continue on, can we grow the channel to tackle even bigger projects?
Back in August 2019 as part of our first year birthday giveaway, we asked for your advice on how to make this channel sustainable. In a landslide vote, you told us to consider Patreon. As we've said many times, Little Wars TV is a hobby project for our club--not a business. But it does take quite a bit of time, energy and even money to run this channel. No one here expects to be paid for their time--we do this for fun--but we'd also like to break even. Or maybe even make a little extra money to upgrade the quality of the channel and tackle some new ideas to grow the historical wargaming community!

What about the 'Free Stuff' Page?
We are NOT putting our regular YouTube content behind a "pay wall." All of our past episodes will continue to be free online, and our FUTURE episodes will also be free online. And since you joined the "Free Stuff" page and may be wondering about its fate--fear not! Free scenarios, bonus content, and giveaways will still be run through this page. In short, nothing changes.
What's On Patreon?

We'll be doing that too, above and beyond our regular content. One of the many additions we're most excited about is our new podcast series, "Little Wars FM."
