How Do I Earn A medal?
Patrons at our $5 or $15 level earn a free medal every six months they support LWTV. We fulfill these length of service medals twice a year by sending patrons a coupon code to choose the medal they want to receive. We introduce new options regularly, as voted on by our patrons. In addition to "time served" on Patreon, we also offer limited edition medals throughout the year that may relate to campaigns we're running or convention events.
How Will I Know If I Qualify For a Free Medal? To make fulfillment more efficient, we ship length of service medals twice a year. And when those cycles occur, we'll contact you directly! If you've been a patron the previous six months, we will message you via the Patreon platform with a coupon code you can redeem below. If you are not interested in medals or don't want to pay for shipping, that's totally ok! But we'll always let you know when you qualify for one anyway!
Can I just Buy Medals? Some of our medals are limited edition or can only be earned through campaigns or attending conventions (see the list below!), but length of service medals can also be purchased if you simply don't want to wait six months to qualify for a free one.

What are the Current Medals?
MARSHAL OF THE EMPIRE
(Limited Edition, 26 awarded) Napoleon elevated 26 marshals of France and our first 26 top-tier patrons hold this honor. It is modeled after a representation of the French Legion of Honor, which was created by Napoleon in 1802 as the highest order of merit in the empire. |
OLD GUARD
(Limited Edition, 50 awarded) Our first 50 patrons form the loyal cadre of our Old Guard. The medal shares the same design as our Marshal of the Empire, but appears in aged silver. The letters "VG" in the center are shorthand for "Vieille Garde." |
CAESAR
(Limited Edition, 10 awarded) In 2021 Little Wars TV founded an annual award show to honor video, podcast, and blog creators in historical wargaming. Winners of a Caesar award in our inaugural year receive this medal, inscribed with the image of the most legendary social media star of his age, Gaius Julius Caesar. |
HERO OF MARENGO
(Length of Service, unlimited) The Hero of Marengo, inspired by Episode 110 of LWTV, features the iconic hat Napoleon wore on this campaign (and many other campaigns to follow...). |
SHIELD OF ISANDLWANA
(Length of Service, unlimited) Patrons who quality for a "length of service" medal may choose the Shield of Isandlawana, inspired by Episode 204 of LWTV. This medal features the cowhide shield and spears carried by every Zulu warrior. |
ORDER OF BERLIN
(Length of Service, unlimited) Patrons who qualify for a "length of service" medal may choose the Order of Berlin, inspired by Episode 301 of LWTV. This medal commemorates the hard-fought battle for Berlin with a mash-up of the Soviet hammer and sickle atop the German Iron Cross. |
Antietam Star
(Length of Service, unlimited) The Antietam Star, inspired by Episode 101 of LWTV, features a star emblazoned with the letter "A" beneath Burnside's Bridge. If you're a fan of this episode, you know it as "Franklin's Bridge." You can choose between glittering blue or hammered silver! |
The BLUE MAX
(Limited Edition, convention attendance) If you meet us in-person a wargaming convention and you are proudly wearing any LWTV medal, the Blue Max will be awarded to you immediately. There is no other way to collect this medal except to attend a show and find us! |
PYRRHIC WAR CAMPAIGN MEDAL
(Limited Edition, 490 awarded) In 2021 we announced our first Little Wars TV campaign event, and all patrons who served the entire duration of the campaign as members of the Roman Senate (or as defectors to Pyrrhus!) can claim this Macedonian-themed honor. |
What should our next medal be? If you're a patron of Little Wars TV you get the chance to help decide! Our patrons voted on our first round of medals and that's a tradition we intend to continue as new medals are commissioned on a regular basis!
