Altar of Freedom is an innovative set of wargaming rules designed to allow players to fight the largest battles of the American Civil War. In this game, one base of figures represents an entire brigade and a 6'x4' playing surface can cover the entire Battle of Gettysburg on one table! The rules place a heavy emphasis on command-and-control with a unique initiative bidding system that makes every turn unpredictable.
